Our Past, Our Future CP Techmotive's earliest products were rotary socket wrench torque transducers and instruments for testing the peak torque of pneumatic nutrunners (tools to tighten threaded fasteners) used in the manufacture of automobiles. Subsequent products included fastener force transducers, load cells, pressure transducers, and reaction torque sensors. Specialty transducers were developed to measure the force exerted on the neck and femurs of automotive crash dummies, the torque of robot wrists, and torque and force exerted on automobile wheels and tires. Windows-based programmable torque/angle controllers and intelligent DC electric nutrunners brought the Techmotive brand into prominence at automotive assembly plants in the late 1980s and popularity into the 21st Century. So it was natural that CP retain the Techmotive brand. |

CP and Techmotive - Joining Forces, Joining Assemblies CP acquired Techmotive in March 2005. CP tools broaden the
Techmotive solutions capability. CP Tools include electric brushless (EB) nutrunners that
are largely marketed throughout Europe, current controlled tightening tools, pneumatic
impact wrenches, pulse tools, grinders, chippers, scalers, air compressors
and other products. |
